The variety, also known under the trade name «Goldrush», is a compact perennial plant obtained through the selection of open-pollinated seedlings. The plant forms dense clumps up to 75 cm wide, consisting of lanceolate serrated leaves of medium-green color.
The flowering period occurs in August–September, when the plant produces dense inflorescences with small bright yellow flowers. The variety is characterized by increased resistance to lodging and powdery mildew compared to the original species, while it may be subject to rust or leaf spot.
