The tree reaches a height of up to 15 meters and 10 meters in diameter, possesses a low trunk and picturesquely curved branches. Young shoots are smooth, bright green in color. The leaves are distinctive for their decorative appearance: they are nearly white at a young age and intensely speckled as they mature, with the variegation remaining stable.
The plant is intended for landscaping parks and gardens, and is suitable for solitary plantings or shaded groups. The variety grows slowly, tolerates urban conditions well, but reacts poorly to transplanting at a mature age. In a hot summer, the white areas of the leaves may temporarily disappear. Flowering occurs in August with small cream-colored flowers.
