This variety or hybrid was created by the IRAT institute for use in West African countries, in particular in Ivory Coast and Senegal. The crop is intended for grain production in semi-arid tropical climatic conditions.

Within the framework of the selection programs of that period, work was carried out on improving the nutritional properties of the grain and increasing the resistance of plants to grain mold infection. Specific agronomic characteristics, such as plant height or precise yield indicators, are absent from open publications.
