The line was developed in the arid regions of Texas. During scientific trials in the Mid-Atlantic region of the USA, the variety demonstrated grain yield indicators of approximately 2743 kg/ha.

The plant's stalk biomass possesses forage qualities; specifically, its crude protein content is approximately 49 g/kg, which is suitable for use in livestock farming. The potential of this line for bioethanol production was also studied.
