ES Harmattan is a sorghum bicolor hybrid used primarily for silage purposes and energy production. The plant reaches a height of about two meters, has a sturdy stalk, large leaves, and a white semi-open panicle. The hybrid does not possess the dwarfing gene and resembles corn in its external characteristics.

The variety is characterized by high lodging resistance and demonstrates the stay-green effect, where leaves retain their green color for a longer period. The produce is distinguished by an increased starch content and good digestibility indicators, which makes it suitable for feeding cattle.
