The variety belongs to the sweet sorghum group and is traditionally used as a fodder and industrial crop. In field trials, the variety demonstrates high biomass productivity and shows some of the best results in green mass yield among the tested samples. A growth feature is a relatively low tillering coefficient.

In scientific literature, the variety is known as a model organism for biotechnological research. Specifically, it is used in experiments on in vitro tissue culture, plant regeneration from callus, and the development of methods for producing doubled haploids.
