The plant is a natural hybrid of cultivated sorghum and Sorghum halepense. It forms a powerful root system with short rhizomes and reaches a height of 3–4 meters. The variety possesses high photosynthetic activity and good leafiness.
The crop is characterized by a field germination rate of 75–80%. In the second to third year of vegetation, the plant shows a tendency for intensive tillering, which may lead to crop thickening and lodging. The variety possesses salt tolerance and is demanding of the thermal regime.
The purpose of the crop includes the production of green mass, hay, and silage, as well as use in bioenergy for the production of bioethanol and solid fuel.
