The variety DANOVA827, also known by the botanical name Chaenostoma cordatum 'Danova827', is a representative of the genus Chaenostoma. Previously, this species was classified as Sutera cordata.

The plant is an evergreen perennial, often cultivated as an annual. It is characterized by a height of 7.5 to 30 cm, opposite ovate leaves with a cordate base and serrated margins. Flowering typically continues from summer to autumn, excluding periods of peak summer heat.
