The variety has a semi-pendulous growth habit. Leaves are simple, broad-ovate, with a serrated margin, dark green in color with medium to high density pubescence.

Flowers are collected in axillary glomerule inflorescences. A characteristic feature of the variety is the relatively large diameter of the flower corolla, which is about 2.6 cm.
