Variety description

The plant is a shrub 1.2 to 2.4 meters in height with woody shoots. The leaves are dark green, opposite, and have an ovate-elliptic shape.
The flowers are funnel-shaped, dark blue or violet upon opening, with a yellow center. Flowering occurs in waves throughout the season.
The variety is not frost-hardy and is grown in temperate climates as a container plant with indoor overwintering. The plant is sensitive to waterlogged soil and requires protection against root rot.
The variety is used in ornamental gardening for landscaping parks, terraces, and creating hedges.
