The plant is a compact specimen with a height of about 30–38 cm. The leaves are narrow with sharp tips. The flowers have a shade from pink to medium-purple.

The variety is intended for indoor cultivation. Unlike many other Tillandsia species, this variety can be cultivated in pots with substrate, although it retains the ability to absorb moisture and nutrients through the leaves.
