The Vonek variety is a perennial rhizomatous plant that propagates both by seeds and underground rhizomes. The crop is characterized by its ability to grow in depleted soils and by its drought tolerance.
The purpose of the variety is to expand the range of forage legumes in crop rotation. The plant has high nutritional value and contributes to increased soil fertility through nitrogen fixation.
