The variety was obtained by crossing wild genotypes followed by mass selection of the initial material. The plant reaches a height of 35 cm, forms sparse bushes and hairy inflorescences ranging from white to pale pink in color. The thousand kernel weight is about 0.45 g.
Flowering occurs in the period from July to August. The plant is adapted to growing on poor soils under drought conditions. Due to the tannin content and stem stiffness, the variety is of limited use as a monoculture for grazing, but it is a valuable source of forage for pollinators.
