The variety has branched, predominantly prostrate stems and long-petioled leaves with three ovate or elliptical leaflets without white markings. Globular inflorescences with pink or white flowers form characteristic inflated fruiting heads.
The plant belongs to the early or mid-early maturity group; flowering occurs from June or July through September. The crop is capable of withstanding temporary flooding for up to two months and tolerates drought and soil salinity, maintaining productivity in one location for up to six years.
At a young age, the variety is a high-quality forage with a high content of nitrogenous substances; however, the stems coarsen with maturity. In addition to use in meadow and pasture seed mixtures, the plant serves as a honey plant and is used for stabilizing steep slopes.
