The Focus variety is a winter form of triticale. It has traditionally been used in European agriculture for cultivation for feed purposes and to meet the needs of the biogas industry.

In the current recommendations for 2025, the variety is not listed among the leaders and practically does not participate in modern variety trials, as it was registered in the early 2000s and has given way to newer breeding forms.
