Variety description

The plant belongs to semi-early varieties and reaches a height of 90–100 cm. The presence of the short-stem gene ensures high lodging resistance. The stem is thick with pronounced nodes; the ear is large, white, bearded, pyramidal in shape, and nodding at maturity. The grain is red, elongated, and of medium size.

The variety shows resistance to common races of yellow rust and powdery mildew; it possesses medium resistance to leaf rust, Fusarium head blight, and Septoria. The thousand kernel weight is 47–53 g, the test weight is 73–75 kg/hl, and the protein content is about 13.71%.

The primary purpose is feed use due to high lysine content. The variety is also used in the food industry in mixtures with wheat flour and in the production of alcohol or bioethanol. The crop is adapted to difficult soil and climatic conditions, including acidic soils with low fertility.
