The variety is a hexaploid winter triticale developed at the V.Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS. Its development was aimed at obtaining grain with improved technological characteristics meeting the requirements of strong wheat.
The variety is classified as multi-line; the main task of breeding was to achieve consistently high grain quality combined with adaptive traits and crop productivity.
