The variety has an awned ear and medium stem height. The growth habit allows it to be grown as a winter or spring crop. It possesses moderate resistance to yellow rust, septoria, and powdery mildew, and shows sensitivity to soil salinity.

The amber-colored grain is characterized by a high protein content of about 16% and vitreousness of up to 100%. The grain test weight is 80.0–83.0 kg/hl, and the thousand kernel weight varies from 40 to 45 g. The variety is used in the food industry for the production of pasta, bulgur, and couscous, as well as in breeding programs.
