C03-158 variety, known under the commercial name AKALA, is a hybrid of southern highbush blueberry. It was obtained by crossing Emerald and F97-169 varieties. The plant is characterized by high growth vigor and has a semi-erect bush habit.
The variety has a low chilling hour requirement. The berries are of medium size, have high firmness and good flavor. Due to the physical properties of the fruit, the variety is suitable for professional commercial cultivation, transportation, and processing.
