The Kiesel-UCP variety is an ornamental plant that in modern botanical classification belongs to the genus Glandularia, previously known as Verbena. In trade catalogs and registers, the plant appears under the commercial name Spitfire Carmine, and during the breeding stage, it had the temporary designation Carmine 54UCP.

The plant is part of the Spitfire series, which unites varieties with different inflorescence colors. Detailed morphological characteristics, such as precise parameters of height or disease resistance, are not presented for this variety in public publications.
