The Kiesel-UCP variety is an ornamental plant that in modern botanical classification belongs to the genus Glandularia, previously known as Verbena. In trade catalogs and registers, the plant appears under the commercial name Spitfire Carmine, and during the breeding stage, it had the temporary designation Carmine 54UCP.
