The variety has an upright growth habit and is classified as a short or medium-sized plant. The leaves have medium length and width, and the stems have weak or medium anthocyanin coloration.

The flowers of the plant are bright purple. In botanical references, the variety may also be classified as Glandularia, as verbena is often referred to this genus.
