The variety Luxena is a decorative plant intended for use in landscape design in open fields or containers. The cultivar is propagated primarily vegetatively via cuttings.

In official descriptions, this variety is distinguished by the presence of dissected leaves, which is the primary feature for its identification among plants with similar habit. In a number of landscape publications, the variety is also mentioned under the name Light Blue Babylon Verbena, which indicates its belonging to the commercial series Babylon™.
