The plant has dense pubescence on the stems. The leaves are oval-shaped with a serrated margin, a cuneate base, and are medium-green in color. Compared to other varieties, it is characterized by a narrower bush and leaf shape.

The inflorescences are broad, oval in profile. The purple-red flowers have characteristic inward-curved corolla lobes and a small whitish-green eye. The variety is propagated vegetatively and does not set seeds.
