Variety description

The variety is an annual plant with semi-trailing stems, which have a medium green color, very sparse pubescence, and anthocyanin coloration along the edges. Leaves are dark green, ovate in shape with a cuneate base, incised blade, and acute apex.

Inflorescences of the spicate corymb type are located in the leaf axils and at the shoot tips. Flowers are large, red-purple in hue, which does not change with age; the center of the flower is very small or absent. The plant is characterized by the absence of seed set.
