The plant reaches a height of 60–80 cm and possesses dark green lanceolate foliage with serrated edges. The upright inflorescences have a pronounced dark blue hue and are odorless.
The flowering period lasts from June to September, sometimes until October. The variety prefers sunny locations with fertile, moderately moist, and well-drained soils; it does not tolerate waterlogging. It requires the removal of spent inflorescences to stimulate re-blooming.
The variety actively attracts pollinators, including bees and butterflies, and is valued for its decorative qualities in floral arrangements.
