The variety has a bushy, spreading habit and reaches up to 20–30 cm in width. The foliage is dark green and broad. The flower color is intense, dark blue.
The plant is a perennial suitable for rock gardens, containers, and creating ground cover. It prefers sunny sites with moderately moist or dry soils.
