The plant reaches 60–70 cm in height, in some cases up to 80 cm. The flowers are small, blue or lilac-blue in hue, collected in raceme inflorescences. The leaves have a pointed shape with a serrated edge; descriptions mention their bicolored shade.

Flowering continues from spring to autumn. The variety prefers well-drained, moderately moist, humus-rich soils and does not tolerate water stagnation. It is valued for its upright stems and longevity in cut form; the resistance of this variety to powdery mildew has also been studied.
