The variety is a local landrace originating from the Muchamiel municipality in the Alicante province. Plants reach a height of 70–80 cm; in conditions of moisture deficit, these figures may be lower.
Pods are 15–20 cm in length, sometimes up to 25 cm, and contain from 3 to 7 seeds. Flowers are white with a characteristic black spot. Plants possess the ability for effective nitrogen fixation.
