The variety belongs to the group of spring faba beans. One of its key characteristics is a reduced content of anti-nutritional substances — vicine and convicine, which makes it a valuable feed component for farm animals, in particular for laying hens.
In the conditions of Great Britain, the variety demonstrates resistance to downy mildew. In scientific publications, the plant also appears as a source of genetic material for studying the biochemical composition of the grain.
