Cina is a specialized rootstock variety that is not used for wine production. Genetically, it is a hybrid derived from crossing the rootstock Kober 125 AA (Vitis berlandieri x Vitis riparia) with the wild species Vitis cinerea Arnold.

The variety possesses high resistance to phylloxera at both the root and leaf levels. Its agrotechnical features include moderate tolerance to lime in the soil. The variety is capable of imparting relatively low vigor to the grafted plant.
