Variety description

The variety is an interspecific hybrid of Vitis riparia and Vitis cinerea. It is a rootstock variety not intended for berry production. The plant is a climbing shrub with medium vigor, suitable for arid soils provided there is no high lime content.

It is distinguished by almost complete resistance to phylloxera, as it does not form nodosities or tuberosities when roots are infested. It also demonstrates good resistance to black rot. It shows high compatibility when grafted with most grape varieties.

Shoots have a faceted shape, are wine-red in color or have corresponding stripes, and are covered with short bristly pubescence. The shoot tip is open, yellowish-green with a whitish bloom, a carmine-red border, and dense pubescence.
