The rootstock is distinguished by low to moderate growth vigor, which promotes balanced vegetative development of grafted varieties. It is best adapted to deep clay soils with sufficient moisture levels.
The plant possesses high resistance to the root form of phylloxera and certain types of nematodes, as well as good resistance to powdery mildew and downy mildew, though it shows sensitivity to high lime content, drought, and anthracnose. It is characterized by high grafting compatibility with the majority of commercial grape varieties.
Morphologically, the rootstock is represented by medium wedge-shaped leaves without pubescence and long shoots with smooth bark. When used, it promotes high-quality berry ripening of the grafted variety.
