The 8112 inbred line was developed through breeding work aimed at improving characteristics such as tassel size, grain texture, resistance to European corn borer, and seedling establishment. The breeding process using crosses was initiated in the 1990s.
This object is genetic material intended exclusively for breeding purposes. Morphological and economic traits of the line are considered intermediate and were not intended for evaluation as an independent variety for commercial production.
