Almondo is a mid-season single-cross maize hybrid with flint-dent grain type. Plant height ranges from 320 to 350 cm. The ear forms 14–16 grain rows, with 30–34 grains in each row.
The hybrid is recommended for cultivation with a seeding rate of 95–105 thousand seeds per hectare for silage production and 85–95 thousand seeds per hectare when grown for grain.
