The hybrid belonged to the early maturity group FAO 200. The version with the LIB or Liberty suffix was modified by the insertion of the pat gene, which provides the plant with resistance to glufosinate-ammonium-based herbicides.

In agronomic research, the hybrid was often used as a control variety due to its known and predictable characteristics. Its purpose included commercial grain production and use for scientific purposes to study the nutritional value of silage and environmental impact.

Currently, the variety is considered obsolete and has been removed from the official production catalogs of a number of countries.
