The KWS Artesio hybrid belongs to the mid-maturing group with a plant height of 270–280 cm and ear placement at 110–130 cm. The plant is of the semi-stay-green type with semi-erect leaf arrangement. The grain is dent, with a thousand kernel weight of 340–370 g. The ear contains 14 rows of grains with 36–40 kernels per row.
The hybrid possesses good cold tolerance, which allows for early sowing. Agronomic features include rapid grain moisture dry-down and high yield potential of up to 17 t/ha when using intensive technologies on fertile soils. The hybrid belongs to the Plus4Grain family.
