The Burli hybrid belongs to the mid-early maturity group with a FAO 210 rating. By structure, it is a three-way hybrid with a flint-dent grain type.

The primary purpose of the hybrid is for grain use. In agronomic studies conducted in cool climate and high latitude conditions, the hybrid was used as a forage crop for silage production and for evaluating the nutritional value of the product.
