The variety was created by genetic transformation of the M37W line with the introduction of genes regulating carotenoid biosynthesis, including phytoene synthase. Agronomic indicators, such as yield and main yield components, correspond to the original parental line. It is known that the base version of the variety is susceptible to Lepidopteran pests.
A distinctive feature of the variety is the high accumulation of β-carotene, lycopene, zeaxanthin, and lutein, as well as an increased content of ascorbic acid and folates. The variety is intended for use as a source of micronutrients to combat deficiencies in the population and as a feed additive for improving egg yolk color in poultry farming.
