The hybrid belongs to the FAO 700 maturity group. It is a Bt-corn that expresses the Cry1Ab protein, which provides resistance to the European corn borer.
For research purposes, the hybrid is often used in comparison with its isogenic conventional line DKC6450. The plant is intended for industrial agricultural cultivation.
