Edo was a three-way forage maize hybrid. A specific feature of the variety was a very high ratio of ear weight to total plant weight, which distinguished it from typical silage-forage varieties of that time.
Currently, this hybrid is a subject of breeding history and is not represented in the current commercial catalogs of modern producers.
