Mahawax is a mid-late, high-yielding corn hybrid with waxy grain. Key characteristics of the variety are high yield and the ability for intensive moisture loss (desiccation) at the end of the ripening period.
The hybrid belongs to the group of varieties with a high maturity index (FAO 350 and higher), which limited its use in regions with specific climatic conditions, in particular in Poland.
