The designation PHRE1xPHAA0 refers to an F1 hybrid obtained by crossing two independent maize inbred lines, PHRE1 and PHAA0. These lines were developed for use in breeding programs as parental components for the creation of commercial hybrids.

Both lines, PHRE1 and PHAA0, belong to the Stiff Stalk heterotic group. Line PHRE1 is a derivative including genetic material from other breeding lines. Detailed characteristics of the end product for large-scale production are not available in open publications, as these lines are described as genetic material for breeding.
