The maize hybrid Piave was used in field research as an object for analyzing the effectiveness of various agronomic practices. The studies examined plant response to changes in row spacing and nitrogen fertilizer application rates.
With an increase in the distance between plants, changes in development were observed: plant height and ear insertion height decreased, as did total yield. At the same time, an increase in ear size, the number of kernel rows, and thousand kernel weight was recorded. The variety was considered in the context of double-cropping in intensive agriculture.
