The maize hybrid PR38A25 is a transgenic plant resistant to damage from Lepidoptera pests, in particular, the European corn borer. The presence of the Bacillus thuringiensis bacterium gene provides the plant with protection against these insects.

This hybrid was used for cultivation, including for the production of silage used at biogas plants. Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant and precise agronomic parameters are not available in open publications.
