Rebordanes is an autochthonous maize variety originating from the northwestern part of Spain. It is a traditional local population distinguished by the high hardness of its white flint type grain and a medium-early maturity cycle.
The primary use of the variety is for food production, in particular the manufacture of flour for traditional maize bread, the properties of which are close to wheat bread. During agronomic trials, the variety demonstrated a yield of up to 11.58 t/ha, outperforming some commercial hybrids.
