The maize hybrid Rivaldo has FAO ratings of 240 when grown for silage and 250 when used for grain. There is a separate modification of the hybrid called KWS Rivaldo YG, using YieldGard technology, which is late-maturing with an FAO rating of 700.

In official descriptive variety lists from previous years, the basic version of the hybrid showed average growth indicators, as well as lodging and disease resistance.
