Maize SM Hiltop (breeding number SMH 53222) belongs to the FAO 230 maturity group. The plants possess high resistance to lodging and a pronounced stay-green effect, which contributes to the prolonged green coloration of the leaves.
The variety is resistant to Fusarium ear and stalk rot, as well as to common smut. The hybrid demonstrates high dry grain yield and effective moisture loss during maturation, which reduces post-harvest drying costs.
Intended for cultivation for grain, silage, corn-cob-mix, grits production, and bioethanol. The hybrid is adapted for intensive production, as well as for cultivation on marginal soils and under conditions of moisture deficit.
