The hybrid was developed as part of the Bc Institut breeding program. It is registered in official registers as a maize variety; however, detailed morphological characteristics of the plant, data on maturity group, and yield indicators are absent from open publications.
The name Stribor is also used for a winter wheat variety, which requires differentiation when searching for technical information. The official status of the hybrid is confirmed by its inclusion in the Variety Book of the Republic of Croatia.
