The variety is very late-maturing; the period from sowing to consumer maturity is about 155 days. The plant forms short conical cobs. The grain is small, smooth, has a vitreous structure and a characteristic pointed tip.

The grains of the variety are capable of explosive expansion upon heating. The variety belongs to the category of established traditional forms, which allows for seed saving for further propagation. Harvesting at the stage of full waxy maturity followed by gradual drying is recommended.
