The Kamet hybrid (code designation HMX59YS825) belongs to the mid-maturing group with a maturity period of 78 days. The plant has a vigorous structure and dark green foliage. The kernels are deep, and the ears have a regular shape with uniform kernel arrangement in rows.

The variety has high resistance to common rust (Puccinia sorghi, race Rp1-e) and moderate resistance to northern corn leaf blight (Exserohilum turcicum) and maize dwarf mosaic virus (MDMV).
